Writing and sharing the news has been my passion since a local newspaper published my article on a class trip to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia – when I was five years old. Fast forward to a public relations career that focused, initially on energy and new technologies.
I was drawn to real estate while living and working in Reston, VA. A special event for my first real estate client became a runaway publicity triumph because the small building we were celebrating had replaced Reston’s infamous “monkey building” where Ebola virus had broken out among research monkeys, threatening the local population.
The new building’s ribbon-cutting brought joyous closure to Reston’s big public health scare. And I had become fascinated by the ways in which buildings, neighborhoods, and development patterns affect how people live, work, play, shop, survive, and thrive.
Since then, I’ve focused my public relations business on real estate, branching out into every building sector and ownership type, as well as geographically. LHB Communications has publicized properties and company news all over North America, Canada, and other parts of the world. My extensive work with the Urban Land Institute has given me in-depth understanding of many markets and the latest development trends. At the same time, the world of communications has undergone unprecedented transformation. The explosion of online and mobile platforms has made effective communications more challenging than ever. How can you rise above the rest of the crowd, achieve visibility, and connect with important audiences?
That’s where we come in. We help clients analyze their current situation, strategize, and develop communications programs that work. When put into action, these programs help our clients achieve – and often surpass - their business growth goals. LHB Communications becomes clients’ trusted partner in success, with many relationships lasting a decade or longer.
