WPC Establishes New Residential Management Division
Washington Property Company (WPC) of Bethesda, MD has established a new residential property management division to manage the company’s Solaire-branded luxury apartment communities in Montgomery County, MD. WPC has taken over management of the four existing Solaire apartment buildings with a total of over 1,000 residences.
“Having designed and built these properties from the ground up, we believe we are in a strong position to deliver a highly responsive customer experience to all Solaire residents,” said WPC Founder and President Charles K. Nulsen, III.
Leading the new residential division is Leslie Catlin, Vice President, Residential Management. An Army veteran with 20 years of multifamily industry experience, Catlin is known for her customer-centered management style, track record of hiring top-tier talent, and her passion for using technology to enhance the customer & associate experience.
Catlin already has implemented an all-new integrated digital management platform. “This platform includes newly designed websites, a vendor and revenue management system, and several front- facing leasing and resident management tools,” said Catlin. “These improvements will bring a high level of management efficiency to our assets and strongly benefit the resident experience.”
“The residential division doubled the size of WPC almost overnight, on-boarding 40 new extremely talented employees all at once,” Catlin continued. “To make this change effectively, we launched a new integrated human resources platform to manage the workplace life cycles of all of WPC’s nearly 100 employees.”
Three additional newly hired employees round out the residential division’s leadership team:
- Brian McGlawn, Director of Building Engineering Services
- Jeff Long, Regional Property Manager
- Alyssa Carter, Digital Marketing and Leasing Specialist
Most of the WPC’s new residential management employees are based at WPC’s Solaire properties in Silver Spring, Bethesda, and Wheaton. The Solaire brand features a wide range of state-of-the-art resident amenities as well as retail shops and restaurants open to the public.
The division will add new staff upon delivery of Solaire 8200 Dixon in 2022. With 403 units and a ground-floor food hall/market, this latest development will be WPC’s third Solaire property in the Metro-adjacent Ripley District of downtown Silver Spring.
